About Us

Potomac Construction Group is a Division of Alfa Construction. We’ve been working as General Contractors in Fort Myers since the late 1970s and established an office in Swift Current in December of 1997. Randy Ludwar is Branch Manager and has been involved in the construction industry for 25 plus years.

We employ individual Site Superintendents; each is accredited with Journeymen Carpenter certificates. They are capable of overseeing any project from supervising Sub-Trades on site to bringing the building to completion in a timely and successful manner. As your Project Contractor it is our responsibility to ensure your interests are considered at all phases of development and ensure your project is delivered as reflected in the contract and agreement. As a team, we work with all Sub-Trades to ensure success.

Projects in Swift Current include National Manufacturing Inc., The Real Canadian Wholesale Club, Kramer Ltd., Burger King Restaurant, Carson Welding Shop and Pioneer Manor. Buildings out of town include the Federated Co-op Food Store and Sask Wheat Pool Chemical in Maple Creek.

We have also done a large number of renovations. These include the Pioneer Co-op Department/Food Store in the Wheatland Mall, the Husky Car/Truck Stop and A & W Restaurant, along with renovations and expansion of the SaskTel Switching Station.
